Emmanuel A. Bossoh, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Administrator of the Ghana Police Hospital has announced to the public that the police hospital will be embarking on a mass burial exercise for unknown and unclaimed bodies.
In a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency, on Wednesday, it noted that the burial would take place 21 days after the announcement hence advised families to contact the Pathology Department of the Police Hospital for identification of missing persons.

This, the Police Hospital said, would complement the search to prevent those unknown bodies from being marked for the burial.
The statement added that the mass burial is a routine measure to decongest the police hospital morgue.
