Member of Parliament for Efutu, Alexander Afenyo Markin, has revealed that President John Mahama intervened in his struggling business when he was vice-president in 2010.
He told Accra-based Starr FM that he and his business partner petitioned Mahama over what he said was the unfair sabotage of his business by some public officials.
Markin, who is into haulage business, said there were times his trucks were stopped on the road for overloading while other trucks with similar axle of load were made to pass simply because of his affiliation to the New Patriotic Party.
He said he also had a contract his Goil and although they could not abrogate it, they frustrated him by failing to load his tankers with fuel.
He said after listening to them, Mahama gave them a note which asked the officials in question to stop frustrating him.
