Many customers interrupted radio programmes in Kumasi Thursday to register their displeasure and serve ample notice of attacks on the ECG, a report by the Daily Graphic said on Friday.

According to the report, the ECG is also set to increase security at its facilities across the region to forestall any attacks.

Power supply is said to have worsened in the region in recent weeks and against the backdrop of a biting heat, many customers are reportedly spending the night outside their bedrooms while risking robbery attacks.

The ECG has, however, denied responsibility for the poor power situation and urged the aggrieved customers to direct their dissatisfaction at its transmitting companies, especially GRIDCO.

The company said the poor power situation in the Ashanti Regional capital had caught them by surprise, adding that they would meet and present the bare facts to customers in the coming days.
