NDC observer attacked with machete in registration exercise

A registration observer of the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Teye got attacked with machetes by a member of the opposition New Patriotic Party during the limited registration exercise at Kwahu Nkwatia in the Eastern Region.

Reports show that John Teye was allegedly accosted by some suspected NPP party members while moving from one center to another to monitor the exercise. He thus reported the incident to the police where he was issued with a medical form to seek treatment at the Atibie government hospital.

Despite the New Patriotic Party denying the incident police in the area have not only arrested suspects but are also investigating the matter.
