This are heating up towards the biggest night in Ghana's music, the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2016, the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), May 7.
Charterhouse Ghana, organisers of the award ceremony have confirmed that E.L, Sarkodie, R2Bees, Stonebwoy, Efya, Bisa K’dei and Joe Mettle will perform on the night.
This follows the announcement that actor Chris Attoh would be hosting the awards together with actress and radio/TV personality, Naa Ashorkor.
The organisers have also hinted that there would be a few other surprise acts on Saturday night and that one of them would likely be a Nigerian. Also on the performing bill would be winner of the Unsung Artistes category, which is being contested by some six upcoming musicians.
The VGMA Board has 30 percent voting power to determine which musician wins in each category. Then there is the VGMA Academy which also has 30 percent voting power and then the general public which has 40 percent voting power.
