The National Democratic Party (NDP), as expected, has declared former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings as the party's flag-bearer for the November presidential elections.
In her acceptance speech, Nana Konadu called on Ghanaians to elect leaders who believe in the common good of the people.
She also said that the only way to address the imbalance in our system is to identify the weakness and emphasise on structural changes.
Former President Jerry Rawlings attended the NDP congress held at the Trade Fair center in Accra with his two other daughters Amina and Yaa Asantewaa Rawlings.
The NDP have also revealed they are poised to file parliamentary candidates in all 275 constituencies across the country, for the elections. The congress would be conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC). The party is a breakaway faction of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
