Why Hearts say they will beat Kotoko in the ‘Super clash’

A tensed Hearts vrs Kotoko clash

Highly motivated: The Phobians say they feel the need to win over their arch rivals to serve three purposes; make up for the woeful performance last year which saw the team lying at the lower rung of the league ladder, to reward their teeming supporters and to say thank you to the board and management of the club.

Better technical team: Hearts say they will beat Kotoko because since the era of the legendary coach Jones Attuquayefio, there has not been a coach who seems to be enjoying the goodwill of the followers of the club like Kenichi Yatsuhashi is having. This is due to the transformation he has brought to the team. They claim their team aside Kenichi has Yaw Preko who is the assistant coach for the national U-20 team, Black Satellites, the Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer, Nassamu Yakubu and the team manager of the Black Stars, Sabahn Quaye all in their camp as opposed to Kotoko’s interim coach Michael Osei.

Kotoko and its supporters are crest fallen: Hearts say their arch rivals and their red army supporters are crest fallen because of their abysmal performance this season which is an indicator that they will be beaten.

The urge to change the ‘Kotoko home status quo’: The Accra based club claim Kotoko are touting the Accra stadium as their ‘home’ grounds due to the favourable results they have been notching in the encounters involving the two sides. Hearts say they are very much motivated to turn the scales by beating Kotoko this time.
