YEN.com.gh’s checks at some filling stations in Accra have revealed that some Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have increased the prices of their products, especially petrol by 4%.
The latest increased in fuel prices have been attributed to rise in prices of oil on the world market. Also the new price follows a review and deregulation of the petroleum downstream sector.
Petrol is now selling at GHC 3.59 a litre (12 pesewas increase). A litre of diesel has been increased by 10%, it is currently selling at GHC 3.39 from GHC 3.29.
Meanwhile, some OMCs still have their prices unchanged from the last reviewed prices. Others also have their prices reduced.
