Kwadwo Twum Boafo, the chief executive officer of the Ghana Free Zones Board, has described the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa-Akuffo Addo, as a violent thug who wants to be president of Ghana at all cost.
“I will say it again that this country is on a precipice, that we have a violent thug, who wants to be president of this country at all cost. We have a man who absolutely has no campaign message, who is now begging to be voted for," he said.
Twum-Boafo, who was speaking on Accra-based Radio Gold's 'Alhaji and Alhaji', said Ghanaians should not vote for "an unforgiving" Akufo-Addo, who, he said, was "causing all the mess in the country just for his personal interest to become the president of this land".

Calling on Ghanaians to be very vigilant when dealing with members of the NPP and its flag bearer, he urged them to listen to Paul Afoko, NPP’s suspended Chairman, who, he said, was telling the fact about who Akufo-Addo was.
“I have faith in the Ghanaian people that they would never vote into power such a man who has on three occasions within his own party and twice from the Ghanaian people lost elections due to his lack of respect...." he said.
