Boasiako, popularly known in politics as ‘Chairman Wontumi’, said he would go to the police on Tuesday to explain issues to them, according to a report by peacefmonline.com.

Wontumi is said to have, in a heated argument, slapped the Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu Amankwa.

The incident reportedly happened on Sunday evening at an Electoral Commission (EC) limited voters’ registration centre called Nana Fodjour House in Krofrom, Kumasi.

Chairman Wontumi has, however, denied assaulting the said MP, according to the report.
