2016 Ghana Music Awards to air live on eTV

e.TV Ghana will be telecasting the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards  live from the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, May 7. 

This was revealed by Head of Corporate Communications and Brands Marketing at Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC),  Kwame Gyan. Mr Gyan said that e.TV Ghana had partnered with Charterhouse Productions, the organizers of the Ghana Music Awards to telecast the event live for viewers on Saturday.

“Our viewers can catch VGMA 2016 live on e.TV come Saturday May 7 in the comfort of their homes or wherever they may be. e.TV is presently working on boosting its signals and I believe viewers in quite a number of areas within the Greater Accra region will attest to the improved signals. Additionally our technicians are on the ground in Kumasi and Takoradi to make viewer experience enjoyable,” Kwame Gyan said.

This comes as a surprise since many expected Charter House to have worked with the EIB Group's GH One Television, which has been partners to the VGMA since it was launched this year, for the live telecast of the awards. Gh One which was owned my Multiple Concepts, the parent company of Charter House, was acquired recently acquired by the EIB Group.
