Hearts of Oak recorded the country's highest ever gate proceeds of GH¢450,000 from the Ghana Premier League match against rivals Asante Kotoko in Accra on Monday, it has been reported.
The amount is more than the GH¢ 237,700 realised in a similar match in September 2013 at the Accra Sports Stadium, a report by ghanasoccernet.com said.
Hearts will reportedly pocket half of the amount, while deductions by the National Sports Authority, VAT and 10 % of the gross amount to the Ghana Football Association will account for the other half.
Hearts sold all 38,000 tickets, with the most expensive selling for GH¢100 and the cheapest going for GH¢10, the report said.
Hearts lost 1-0 to Kotoko in the Week 10 fixture, after an own goal by goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama.
