A thirty-eight-year old man, Yaw Appiah, has been arrested by the Jatsi police command in the Ashati Region for pushing his wife down a pavement block, leading to her death.
The man accused the deceased, Agnes Serwaa Mansa, 35, of infidelity, a report by rainbowradionline.com said on Wednesday.
Both the man and his wife reportedly resided at Abijan Nkwanta in the Bosomtwe district of the region.
The suspect is said to have pushed his wife during an argument, causing her to fall, hit her head on the pavement block and die on the spot.
According to the report, the suspect was in the habit of accusing his wife of cheating on him, but she is said to have consistently denied the allegations.
The news comes barely a week after a 34-year-old man beheaded his three-year-old son at Ablekuma in Accra.
The man hanged himself after committing the gruesome act, a report by Accra-based Adom FM said.
It is not clear what caused the man to kill his own son and then commit suicide, but tenants and the land lord in the house where he lived pointed to depression.
