A student of Central University College (CUC) was Monday dawn killed when the vehicle in which he was travelling got involved in an accident on the Accra-Tema Motorway.
Another person in the car got injured and was taken to the Volta River Authority (VRA) hospital, according to a report by the Daily Guide.
The dead has been identified as William Yirenkyi, an architectural student of the university, while Kelvin Adjetey Sowah, a course mate of William who was driving at the time of the accident, is receiving treatment.
The poice said the accident occurred at a spot close to Kings Cottage and after the police post on the Tema Motorway.
The vehicle involved was a Pontiac Vibe with a registration number GM 2939-14.
The two were said to be returning from Accra to the school when their vehicle got involved in the accident.
Kelvin is reported to have said that while driving, they saw somebody crossing the road and to avoid hitting the person, he veered off the road, lost control of the vehicle and it somersaulted several times.

Police personnel who were on duty at the post were said to have immediately rushed to save the victims with the help of other passersby.
The two were rushed to the Tema General Hospital for treatment but William Yirenkye was pronounced dead on arrival.
Kelvin’s parents later transferred him to the VRA Hospital for better care, according to the report.
Last week, three of the students of the university also died on the spot when their saloon car collided with a tipper truck on the Dawhenya–Aflao highway. They were Sedem Hodo, Nana Kofi Asare and Boison Kobby Junior.
