Mahama engages UCC students on entrepreneurship

President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday, May 5, addressed students of the Cape Coast University (UCC) on 'Rising Opportunities, Entrepreneurship & A Changing Ghana'.

Mahama during the presentation shared  stories of young people who have taken advantage of the opportunities the NDC government provided  to start or expand their business.

According to the president, his government has over the last three years managed to reduce remuneration as a percentage of GDP of 70% to the current manageable levels.

“Our [Ghana] per capita income is higher than Kenya, Cote D'Ivoire and second to Nigeria in West Africa,” President Mahama opined.

He further revealed that under his supervision, government has managed to finance its budget from its own revenues without Bank of Ghana financing.

President Mahama also told the students that given the opportunity to lead Ghana in the next four years,the NDC government will see to completion of the gas processing and gas power pact for development.
