NDC threatens to withdraw its agents from registration centres

The Bosomtwe Constituency of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has revealed it intention to withdraw its agents from the various registration centers in the ongoing 10-day limited national registration exercise if the police fails to provide protection in the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) stronghold.

According to the NDC Secretary in the constituency, Nana I. K Nyame  since the exercise started on April 28, 2016, supporters of the NPP had been massing up at the various centers threatening agents of the NDC each time they challenged anyone who came to a center to register.

Meanwhile the police has started investigation over these allegations as the electoral commission is yet to comment on the issue.
