King Ayisoba, Ghana’s traditional music icon, has shared revealing photos of his late mum's burial ceremony at Bongo-soe on Wednesday.

Akupoka Apoore the mother of the artiste, died on Monday, May 2 aged 85 after a short illness at the Bongo District Hospital in the Upper-East Region.
"This is how we bury the dead in my hometown Bongo-soe.we don't use coffins. We wrap the dead body in a local mat which is called " sorngo" in our local language then we bury it...this is pure culture."Ayisoba told hotfmonline.

King Ayisoba is seen passionately playing his traditional musical instrument whiles the mortal remains of his late mother, wrapped in a local mat and carried on the shoulders of two well built men is carried to the cemetery to be buried.
