Surgeries suspended at Police Hospital over power cut

A prolonged power cut at the Police Hospital in Accra has compelled managers of the facility to turn away emergency cases.

The facility is also transferring planned surgeries and complicated cases to other hospitals in Accra, a report by Accra-based Starr FM said on Friday.

The hospital is said to have been without power since Friday morning and power plants are reportedly dysfunctional

The Ghana Police Hospital was established in 1976 to provide quality health care to the members of the Ghana Police Service and their families.
