Barclays Bank Ghana has said it is assisting the Police to arrest the alleged fraudster who was caught on a CCTV camera duping a school boy in one of its branches at Osu, Accra.
According the bank, it has circulated pictures of the man in all its branches across the country to help arrest the fraudster who is said to have committed the crime on three different occasions. A confidence trickster who posed as a worker of Barclays on March 13, 2016 allegedly swindled a Junior High School student who had been sent to make a deposit.
Earlier, YEN.COM.GH had reported that A CCTV footage from the bank showed how the event took place. In the footage, the trickster asked the student to sit down while he fast-tracks the process for him and he [trickster] vanished with the money.
