Three Berekum SHS students injured after heavy downpour
Three students of the Berekum Senior High School in the Brong Ahafo Region were injured during a heavy downpour on Monday night.

The incident which happened around supper time left three students injured and caused damage to property in the school.

Currently teaching and learning to a halt as the rainstorm ripped off the roofing of some of the school's bungalows, dining hall, kitchen, classrooms and the headmaster's office.

The school has also been without electricity after the electric poles fell crashing into some buildings and trees.

Ebenezer Kwegyir Ayensu, headmaster of the school told Joy News that the school which serves as a WAEC Exams centre will not suffer.
The headmaster is appealing to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), NGOs and philanthropists to come to the aid of the school.
In a related development, private individuals and other schools have also lost properties running into thousands of cedis as a result of Monday night’s storm.
