Jupitar, a budding artiste in Ghana has disclosed that he was paid US $50,000 for performing at the wedding reception for Otumfuo Osei Tutu‘s daughter in Kumasi.
Talking about his fortune to beeniewords.com, the excited artiste said he believes he is the only artiste dancehall artiste to play on the night. He said he believes no reggae or dancehall artiste in Ghana has ever been paid such an amount for performing at a wedding.
The royal wedding took place over the weekend and Kofi Okyere-Darko (KOD) was the official MC for the occasion held at the Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi.
In attendance was Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings and her two daughters.
Jupitar was nominated for the VGMA 2016 with his hit song “Fire” in the Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year and “Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year” category but he lost to Stonebwoy.
