FIFA has banned Benin from international football following the continued interference of the French colony’s court in the running of their federation. FIFA took the decision at its inaugural FIFA Council meeting being held in Centro Banamex, Mexico.
A court had ruled on Wednesday, May 4 preventing the Benin Football Federation (FBF) from holding their presidential elections in their capital, Cotonou.
