The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Assin Central constituency in the Central region says he was surprised young Abraham Attah called on him to show appreciation and gratitude.
According to the fire-brand MP, the ‘Beast of No Nation’ star is one of those who returned to thank him [Ken Agyapong] for assisting and supporting their education.
The Independent Spirit Award winner paid a courtesy call on the MP at his residence at Assin Fosu to show gratitude for contributing to his education.
Kennedy Agyapong saw Abraham Attah selling at the toll booth in Ashaiman some years back and offered to support his education by giving him money for his fees.
Speaking in an interview on Accra based Hitz FM, the MP revealed how he first came in contact with the young movie star.
“I saw young Abraham at the Ashaiman tollbooth selling some items and asked him why he was not in school. Abraham told me although he wanted to, his parents could not afford it.
“I said, go and tell your parents that I want to pay the school fees for you so he went. The next morning when I got there he was there and I asked him ‘what did your parents say?’ he said, 'they are happy with it', so I gave him money to go and buy school uniform and for school fees.”
The businessman said he was stunned when Abraham Attah asked to see him after he became a movie star.
