Find out why this chief says he will do politics

Chief of Mehame in the Asutifi South District of the Brong Ahafo Region, Nana Owusu Kontor has declared that he will engage in active politics until member of parliament (MP) of the area Alhaji Collins Dauda retires because the MP has brought immense development to the constituency.

The Chief made the assertion when a delegation from the community water and sanitation agency led by Baba Salifu, Paramount Chief of Bongo inspected an on-going water project. According to Nana Owusu Kantor he sees no logic in the clause in the Constitution which states that traditional chiefs should stay away from active politics.

He said there is no way he could be restrained from taking part in active politics because Alhaji Collins Dauda is his real brother and so he cannot help but throw his weight behind the Local Government Minister. He disclosed that he will engage in active politics till the MP retires from politics.
