Hamamat auctions 'controversial' VGMA dress for $3,000

Hamamat Montia, the 2006 Miss Malaika winner, has put up her controversial  VGMA dress on sale.

Hamamat revealed that she was auctioning the dress to raise money to support her library project in Bongo in the Upper East Region of Ghana.

Speaking on Rhythmz A-Z on Joy FM Hamamat revealed that as at Friday night, she has raised $1,220 and hopes to reach the $3,000 goal by the end of next week.

The mother of two girls made the news when a yellow dress she wore to the 2016 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) exposed her breast.

She later took to her Instagram page to apologize to her fans, saying it was a wardrobe malfunction.
