Taxi driver kills colleague taxi driver over suspicions of adultery with his wife

Emmanuel Neequaye Kotei, a  jealous taxi driver, has been charged with murder for killing Ishmael Armah, another taxi driver.

Kotei who appeared before an Accra Magistrate’s Court  is reported to have  hit  his fellow taxi driver with his car, leading to his death.

Chief Inspector Gregory Yeboah who read the facts of the case noted that Kotei, a taxi driver who resides at Chorkor, a suburb of Accra decided to teach Armah a lesson, after he saw Armah in a heart chat with Regina Tetteh , his wife who sells  kenkey at Dansoman in Accra.

Inspector Gregory added that after Kotei’s argument and threat to kill  Armah  her was reported to have used his car to hit Armah at the Dansoman Market and sped off.

Witnesses chased Kotei who was apprehended and was handed over to the police.  Armah was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The court, presided over by Ms Arit Nsemoh, remanded him in police custody while awaiting the AG’s advice.
