Michael Kwame Asante, the Ashanti Regional Manager for the Ghana Red Cross Society says they will be deploying 60,000 volunteers across the country during the November polls.
He told TV3 that the organization was embarking on a series of training in the Ashanti Region for key stakeholders including media personnel on administering first aid during the election process.
It forms part of activities by the Organization to commemorate World Red Cross Day.

Participants were trained on the theory and practice of first aid needed during casualties associated with elections.
First Aid is the initial management and assurance given to electorates who after joining long queues collapses and need support.

The Red Cross Society has been at the forefront of administering First Aid services to the sick and others in emergency situations.
