President John Dramani Mahama is expected to hold bilateral talks with the Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe in the course of the week in Tokyo.
Both leaders will sign a new cooperation agreement and also address a joint press briefing in Tokyo. The president and his wife Lordina will also meet with other royals as the Majesties, Emperor and Empress of Japan during the official visit to the Asian country this week.
Japan is documented to have made contributions to Ghana's health, agricultural, infrastructural and social services sectors in the past years.
While in Tokyo, Mahama will meet with African Heads of Mission, address an Investment Forum and meet the Ghanaian Community. He will also grant audience to a number of Japanese officials including the President of JICA and a group led by the Chief Cabinet Secretary of Japan.First lady Lordina Dramani Mahama will on her part hold discussions with Mrs. Abe and address a gathering of the Spouses of African Heads of Mission, leaders of Japanese Women Groups and Female Ambassadors.
