Two died on the spot in an accident in Kumasi after a Chrysler vehicle hit them in front of Logs and Lumbers Limited at Asokwa in Kumasi.
The deceased were a nursing mother who was selling sachet water and male staff of Zoomlion, according to a report by myjoyonline.com.
The vehicle is said to have dragged the two for about ten meters before crashing them into a concrete wall on the shoulders of the Asokwa-Atonsu road.
The vehicle, which was said to have been speeding, reportedly hit the rear of a Toyota Yaris taxi whose driver had parked by the side of the road to buy sachet water from the nursing mother, trapping her six-month old baby in the wreckage.
The baby is said to have survived the accident and admitted to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
The taxi driver, according to the report, was also being treated with fractured leg injuries.
The driver of the vehicle - a mechanic who was test-driving the car - is said to have immediately fled the scene.
