Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, will visit Ghana next week for the ‘Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award’ which is aimed at rewarding Ghanaian youth who through their various endeavours, are impacting society positively.
The awards will be targeted at the youth between the ages of 14 and 25, regardless of their background.
According to Peter Akai Anum, the executive director of the award, it serves as a learning cycle for the young ones to develop their talents which they ultimately give back to society.
The Award is comprised of three levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold, each progressively more challenging.
Organisers of the award had called on the management of EIB Network who are partners of the ceremony with uniBank.
