A former NDC branch chairman for Amenfi East in the Western Region, Robert Agyei, has committed suicide, it has been reported.
‘Koliko’, as he is popularly known, shot himself Wednesday night at Bawdie, according to a report by starrfmonline.com.
It is not clear why he committed suicide, but the Amenfi East district police commander, Chief Inspector Forster Berko, reportedly said that the deceased appeared troubled months before taking his life.
“He has been troubled for some time now. He had an accident that affected one of his hands some time back, and since then, he remained quite worried and isolated,” he was quoted as saying.
The police are said not to suspect any foul play in the incident.
