Ghanaian talented winger Inaki Williams who plays for Athletic Bilbao had is goal against Villareal poll an 18.4 per cent over well established forwards, Cristiano Ronaldo and the three pronged arrow head of Barcelona, Neymar, Messi and Suarez to win the best goal award in the Spanish top-flight this season, according to a report on footballghana.com.
Williams scored an eye-catching goal against Villareal in their 3-2 win during their League game on January 6, 2016 as he powered in a volley from the edge of the box after flicking the ball over his opponent.
The poll was collated amongst La Liga supporters in Spain who voted for Williams.
He came ahead of Suarez, who placed second with the much talked about penalty kick set up by Lionel Messi against Celta Vigo.
Cristiano Ronaldo took the third place with his drop off the shoulder and stepover against Espanyol.
Neymar, Messi and Real Madrid’s pair Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez all featured in the poll.
Williams was born in Spain to a Ghanaian father and a Liberian mother but has played for Spain at youth level.
