A 44-year-old mother of seven at Tantra Hill in Accra met her untimely death on Saturday when a falling wall crushed her to death instantly, it has been reported.
The woman was harvesting rain water when the disaster occurred, according to a report by kasapafmonline.com.
She was reportedly fetching water for her house chores during Saturday night’s heavy rain which was characterised by strong winds.
The report said the woman was told by her husband to get indoors as it was late and also dangerous for her to be outside while the strong winds blew.
She is said to have begged the man to allow her some time to complete her work and that as she went in for the last bucket of water, a wall near the their house, which was very weak as a result of erosion, collapsed, crushing her close to death instantly.
