Police anti-terrorism squad arrives in Kumasi over killings

The police headquarters in Accra has dispatched a special anti-terrorist squad to Kumasi to suppress violent crime there, which has resulted in a series of deaths in recent times, according to a report by tv3network.com.

The move comes after a policeman was shot and killed by robbers at the Open Space Hotel in Dechemouso, Kumasi, last Thursday. One other person survived gunshots wounds in the attack.

Another person was shot dead at Ahenema Kokoben on Saturday when he was attacked in what is suspected to be an armed robbery incident.
