Police deploys anti-terrorist force at Kumasi over recent killings

A special anti-terrorist police force has arrived at Kumasi following robbery attacks there.

Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Yussif Tanko has revealed that acts of terror are being suspected considering the manner with which the criminals conduct the operation. Reports from TV3online  indicate that Kumasi has come under attacks from a gang of suspected armed robbers with a policeman shot and killed by robbers at the Open Space Hotel in Dechemouso being the latest example.

Meanwhile a meeting held by the deputy Ashanti regional minister Andy Okrah is currently underway as part of measures to restore calm in the area.
