Man kills his landlady over tenancy dispute

Police at Akyem Achiase in the Eastern Region has arrested 32- year old farmer Yaw Boadi for allegedly murdering his 56 -year old land lady Madam Abena Fremah over a tenancy dispute.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ernest Kodjo Dokounon has revealed that the deceased rented a single room apartment to Boadi for over one year. After expiry of the tenancy agreement the deceased wanted to eject Boadi for stealing a mobile phone belonging to her daughter, a situation that brought a grudge between the two.

The District Commander said police investigations revealed that Boadi murdered the woman in cold blood and took refuge in Osorase town so they arrested him. He said during investigation, Boadi confessed killing the woman and said he had regretted his action.

Meanwhile the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue as police investigations begin.
