Residents of Kumasi anxious over latest robbery cases

Residents of Kumasi in the Ashanti region are worried over the latest armed robbery cases that have seen two died.

In three days two separate  robbery incidents saw a police officer shot in a car at Dichemmuoso after armed robbers raided a hotel last Friday.

Also over the weekend, another person was killed at Ahenema Kokoben, a Kumasi suburb by armed robbers.

Public relations officer of the Ashanti regional police, ASP Mohammed Yusif Tanko says the police is meeting with the community to disco security concerns

He also noted armed robbers usually target areas where police presence and response is low due to poor roads.
