Engineers and Planners rescues flood victims

Construction firm Engineers and Planners has gone to the aid of flood victims in Accra following long hours of downpour in the capital throughout the weekend.

Obuobia Darko-Opoku being aided to assess the situation during the floods

The company which belongs to the brother of President Mahama moved in to Mallam and its environs following an SOS call by the National Democratic Congress parliamentary candidate for the Weija-Gbawe constituency Obuobia Darko-Opoku.

E&P helped free choked drainages at Mallam and worked throughout Sunday night to Monday to make sure the waterways are cleared of fifth.

Last Saturday and Sunday rains affected low-lying areas such as Mallam, Awoshie, Santa Maria, Kwashiebu, Circle Odawna, and Kaneshie.

The rains also left several people displaced with properties worth millions of Ghana Cedis destroyed.
