Edu. minister summoned over absence of UEW council

Parliament has summoned the education minister Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman to answer questions regarding the absence of a council at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

Her appearance before the parliament follows a question filed by the Effutu MP Alex Afenyo-Markin over the absence of a council at the University who has asked for the reason(s) why 'the tenure of the council expired in 2013 and since then the minister and the office of the president have failed to appoint new nominees to run affairs of the University.”
