An unidentified man has hanged himself at Tema New Town in the Greater Accra region.
The lifeless body of the man, believed to be in his 30s, was found hanging on a tree in a bush near VALCO bridge on Tuesday morning, according to a report by atinkaonline.com.
The man is said to have relocated to the area about two weeks ago and lived around Manhean Christ Apostolic Church.
It is not immediately clear what led him to commit suicide.
It comes barely a week after a former NDC branch chairman for Amenfi East in the Western Region, Robert Agyei, committed suicide at Bawdie.
The motive for the act was unknown, but the Amenfi East district police commander, Chief Inspector Forster Berko, reportedly said that the deceased appeared troubled months before taking his life.
“He has been troubled for some time now. He had an accident that affected one of his hands some time back, and since then, he remained quite worried and isolated,” he was quoted as saying.
