Delivery of health care to outpatients at the Tamale Teaching Hospital has been grounded following a strike action by some frustrated doctors there.
As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh the doctors had made known their intentions to lay down their tools effective Monday, May 23 as they complained over unpaid fuel allowances. Whiles management of the hospital claims the money has been paid into the accounts of the doctors, the physicians insist no payment of a sort has reached them.
Meanwhile the labour minister Haruna Iddrisu is yet to meet the both striking doctors and management of the hospital over the impasse. The Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) remains the focal point of health care delivery to thousands of patients in the Tamale metropolis.
