Yvonne Okoro took her photo opportunity when she met Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, on Tuesday at the 2016 Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Scheme held in Accra.
Prince Edward who is the youngest of four children and the third son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip arrived in Ghana on May 23 for the award ceremony. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme is associated with the Head of State Awards Scheme in Ghana.
The Earl is a patron of the award scheme which recognizes young people who are impacting society positively.
Among other dignitaries at the ceremony on Tuesday were Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, Minister of Youth and Sports, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye.
Yvonne Okoro who is a brand ambassador for the Head of State Awards Scheme Ghana (Duke of Edinburgh International Award) gave a speech at the ceremony and also had discussions with the dignitaries about how to improve the film industry in the face of many challenges.
