Tamale College turns away 400 students

The Tamale College of Education  has rejected 400 qualified students who qualify for admission due to the lack of infrastructure.

This was revealed by the principal of the college at the 4th congregation of the institution in Tamale in the Northern Region on Saturday.

According to him the college received about 1,547 applications with 929 duly qualified for admission but the college had to admit only 529.

Dr Sumalema Iddrisu however, pleaded with government and the Ministry of Education to fast-track the construction of more lecture halls and physical infrastructure to aid more intake of students and improve academic work.
