Barclays Bank fraudster finally arrested by police

Police in Accra has finally arrested the confidence trickster caught on CCTV camera duping a school boy in Barclays Bank at Osu in Accra.

Media reports show that the trickster has been arrested and is currently in custody at Ashaiman.  According initial reports, the suspect was attempting to dupe another person in another bank when one of the customers recognized him from the CCTV footage which went viral on social media.

The incident which occurred on March 14, 2016 came to the spotlight when Citi FM reported it in a news bulletin. Narrating the incident to Citi News, brother of the school boy said the trickster who posed as a staff of the bank introduced himself as an old student the GES model of school and was ready to help the victim go through the process quickly. A CCTV footage from the bank showed how the event took place. In the footage, the trickster asked the student to sit down while he fast-tracks the process for him and he [trickster] vanished with the money.
