Teenage movie star, Abraham Attah, has paid a courtesy call on Nana Akufo-Addo, the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The visit was to invite Akufo-Addo to the Abraham Attah Ghana Summit, which is scheduled for July 18. The young actor was accompanied by his management team.
Sharing pictures of the meeting on Facebook, Akufo-Addo described Abraham Attah as young and talented actor.
The summit is a peace project focused on youth motivation and peace building ahead of planned November elections.
Abraham Attah, who shot to fame after starring in Netflix produced ‘Beasts of No Nation’, has already met the UK High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, to seek support for the summit.
“My role as a child soldier in Beast of No Nation gave me a picture of a conflict zone. I got scared after watching the full movie and that has encouraged me to embark on the Peace and Youth focus agenda,” he was quoted as telling Mr Benjamin.
He also met the US ambassador to Ghana, Robert Jackson, for the same purpose.
