Adidas are said to be furious with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo for throwing away his jersey as he celebrated his winner in the shoot outs of their Champions League triumph over Atletico no Saturday.
The sportswear company claimed they missed out on millions in free advertising as the player posed for the cameras.
He appeared bare-chested in all subsequent photographs, with the Adidas logo nowhere in sight.
The latest development could jeopardize the sponsor’s decision to extend the deal with Real Madrid and Nike who are sponsors of Ronaldo could be lurking around.
The Portuguese forward is said to be Adidas greatest asset despite his affiliations with a rival brand. They were okay as long he is wearing a Madrid jersey, they considered it as a free advertising for them.
