Our bodies are amazingly and smartly crafted. At times some very simple actions and manipulations attain incredible results. If you know a set of such things, you can stay healthy and keep your body under control in a range of situations.
Afraid to get shots or to take blood tests?
Just gently blow on your finger! Such an action can distract your brain from the painful procedure. It gets refocused and your pain gets reduced. Plus, you calm down your nerves. You can do the same with your child to get to keep them calm and stop crying. Only make sure you warn the nurse ahead of time that you are going to do some manipulations of the sort. This way she would know you are not out of your mind.
Got a rasping throat?
Surely you can take a medicine or at least a cup of hot tea, but you can also try to scratch your ear! Doctors say that touching your ear make the throat muscles strain and the rasping passes away.
Got a toothache?
Get some ice and place it on the backside of your hand. Keep it there for a short while and then scoop down to the area between your thumb and finger. That would sooth the toothache for a while.
Again, blow at your thumb and see what happens! There is the special nerve in it that controls the rate of the heart beat. And you get your brain refocused, too.
So, stay calm, blow at your thumb and enjoy these simple remedies and tricks to stay well.
