Police arrest two hooligans for beating coach into coma

The Sekondi police have arrested two men, Kojo Peace and Badu Bodee, who allegedly assaulted the head coach of Division One League (DOL) side, Elmina Sharks, Kobina Amissah, into coma.

The two were among fans who charged on Coach Amissah, beat him and left him unconscious during their league clash with Sekondi-based Proud United at the Sekondi Gyandu Park, according to a report by Graphic Sports.

He was said to have been rushed to the hospital and treated of head injuries and bruises.

After the police caught the suspects, Coach Amissah identified them as the men who had assaulted him during an identification parade.

The two have been granted bail.
