One person died Monday night in an accident that involved 75 workers of the Komenda Sugar Factory in the Central Region.
The accident occurred when the vehicle the workers were travelling in overturned while attempting to climb a hill at Apewosika in the Komenda-Edina-Aguafo-Abirem, according to a report by 3news.com.

One person is said to have died on the spot while 62 injured others were taken to the Central Regional Hospital.
The sad development comes a week after President John Mahama commissioned the Komenda Sugar Factory, which has been revamped at the cost of $35 milion.
“The revival of the Komenda Sugar plant was one of our major plans in the transforming lives agenda. It will provide direct and indirect jobs to an estimated 7000 people,” the president said.
