Teaching and learning has been suspended at the St. John's Primary School in Accra New Town following the attack on some female teachers by unidentified thugs.

Reports by atinkafmonline shows that these thugs had decided to take on the teachers after they (the female teachers) had punished a pupil for misbehaving. The attack which is currently being investigated by the Ghana police has attracted the disapproval of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT).
